Narrating Images [Slide Show Style Photo Stories] APPS

Note: The following Slide Show MODE APPS can be a bit boring after ALL the other creative media-rich tools now available for storytelling BUT . . . if you challenge students to focus on delivering "performing voices" along with choosing meaningful images that "illuminate" rather than just having literal illustration - you can still deliver powerful artistic experiences with value-worthy applications.

• Consider students constructing a visual storytelling like photo phive story style.

• One of my FAV worthy uses to consider is having students make quick and easy slide show style videos as an "Exit Reflection!"

i_Tell_a_Story.jpgI Tell A Story [.99]
Experience the ancient art of oral storytelling with I Tell a Story users narrating and recording (with enhanced editing options) their stories with their own voice, in their own language. The narrator can add funny sounds and music to multiply the entertaining factor of the story. Practice oral reading fluency, transform poetry writing, explain how they solved a math problem, practice using new vocabulary terms, or record a written story. Family members can share oral storytelling or . . . make visual audio books for others to learn or experience live storytelling.

Storyrobe [.99]
This is an app creates photo slide shows that are narrated into a daily journal or exit reflections. The excitement begins when you share your story with other Storyrobe users. Add to existing stories to create longer stories of travels, events or family history. They can be shared with other Storyrobe users or make more public through sites like YouTube. You can add to existing stories [threaded storytelling] to create longer tales of travel, events or history or you can create your own. Note: This app uses ONLY photos you take rather than imported through the cameral roll.
